”Our herd has some of the most distinguished blood lines in America”

Uphill Farm is situated in the beautiful hills of Dutchess County near the Hudson River in Upstate New York, where farmers have been raising animals since the 17th century. Since 1996, Uphill Farm has been dedicated to preserving heritage breeds. We raise Belted Galloway, Solid Galloway cattle, Tamworth hogs and Oxford sheep.

Uphill Farm is run by Farm Manager Jerry Stephens. The herd of around 50 registered breeding females is kept on over 300 acres of grass pasture. At certain times of year, we provide grass-fed meat to local customers in the vicinity of the Hudson Valley.

Our herd has some of the most distinguished blood lines in America and has produced many champions over the years. We maintain one of the largest herds of Red Belted Galloways in the world. We sell breeding stock privately and at major auctions. Uphill Farm is represented at many major shows.
